At this stage in ‘The Chase’, having two Chasemates from the same country can indeed be more than a blessing basically because other countries like Uganda, Zim, Sierra Leone, Malawi and Angola have already bowed out.
Tanzania, Nigeria and Zambia happen to be the only countries that still have their pairs intact while Botswana, Kenya, Ethiopia, Namibia, Ghana and South Africa still have one contestant each in the running for the $300000 (R2.9m) cash prize.
With at least four weeks to go, these three countries have an upper hand of at least having a contestant in the finale come 25th August.
For starters, Tanzania’s reps Feza and Nando are assured of being around for at least 10 weeks, that leaves them with only three weeks to the finale and if by any chance one of them wins the HOH seat, it would of course take them nearer the final week.
Nigeria’s Beverly and Melvin seem to be on some sort of lucky streak. Beverly has never been nominated while Melvin has used his three HOH terms to take him far in the game, not forgetting the week he put himself up only for Africa to save him.
Zambia’s Cleo and Sulu are also sharing the spoils. Cleo has been up twice and Africa has been kind enough to save her while Sulu had never been up until this week when he was swapped by HOH Bimp.
Just in case Sulu leaves on Sunday, Zambia will also have joined the 6 countries that have one contestant each.
Meanwhile, some housemates have voiced their opinions as regards having two reps in ‘The Chase’ at this stage with most of them saying that it would only be fair to have one rep from each country. However, no one can blame Tanzania, Nigeria and Zambia for having two reps at this stage, lady luck may be shinning brighter on them.
Do you think it’s fair that Tanzania, Nigeria and Zambia are still having two reps in ‘The Chase’?
