AC Milan 0 Chelsea 2: Mourinho set for Madrid grudge match after impressive win

Jose Mourinho will go head-to-head with former club Real Madrid next week as he looks to secure his first trophy since returning to Chelsea.

Goals from Kevin De Bruyne and Andre Schurrle secured victory over AC Milan here in New Jersey to reach the final of the Guinness International Champions Cup, where they will face the Spanish giants.
Mourinho left the Bernabeu for a return to Stamford Bridge earlier this summer after falling out with the club's powerbrokers.

And the Portuguese, who described himself as the 'Happy One' on his return to Stamford Bridge,  now has an early opportunity to get one over his former employees in Miami on Wednesday.
Likewise, former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti, now manager of Real, will have the chance to put his ex-club to the sword.
The big news before kick-off was the absence of David Luiz from the match-day squad with a hamstring injury.
The Brazilian, who is a target for Barcelona, has played just 45 minutes of the Blues' pre-season campaign so far after he was given extra time off due to his involvement in the Confederations Cup.
Likewise, Frank Lampard missed out again as he continues to recover from an Achilles injury that has caused him to miss all of the club's four pre-season fixtures so far.
Mourinho hopes the veteran midfielder can play some part in the final two fixtures of Chelsea's US tour, but it is looking increasingly likely that Lampard will miss the start of the season.

Chelsea got off to a bright start, Oscar and Branislav Ivanovic both going close in the opening 11 minutes as the Blues looked to clinch a place Wednesday's Guinness International Cup Final on Wednesday.
But the Italian's, after a pedestrian opening, soon found their rhythm as the lively Stephan El Shaarawy and Kevin-Prince Boateng passed up decent opportunities.

Ivanovic was booked in the 17th minute for a cynical trip on Mario Balotelli just as the former Manchester City man was about to pull the trigger on the edge of the box.
And the Serbian denied Balotelli again eight minutes later - but this time it was a brilliant goalline clearance after Petr Cech could only half-save Sulley Muntari's low shot with the Italy forward ready to pounce at the back post.
And Mourinho's side took full advantage of, taking the lead just three minutes later through De Bruyne's clinical finish after he was set-up brilliantly by his fellow Belgian Eden Hazard.
The Blues manager made six changes at half-time, Mark Schwarzer, Ashley Cole, John Terry, Fernando Torres, Juan Mata, Ramires and Victor Moses all coming on.
And Torres nearly made an instant impact, jut failing to slip Marco van Ginkel through after a strong run down the left flank.
Terry went within inches of doubling the the Blues lead in the 52nd minute with an acrobatic volley from 10 yards after Hazard's pinpoint corner.
Moses, after some brilliant work to free himself of Urby Emanuelson's attentions down the right flank, fired an angled shot harmlessly wide.

And the Nigeria international looked threatening during the early stages of the second period, with his pace causing the Italians problems.
Mata forced a routine save from Christian Abbiati with low angled shot from 14 yards after being set-up by Torres, before firing a free-kick narrowly over.
Antonio Nocerino glanced a header harmless wide from Emanuelson's cross in the 75th minute before the Dutchman himself saw a low goalbound strike blocked by Gary Cahill as Milan applied late pressure in search of an equaliser.
The dangerous Mbaye Niang then saw his fierce shot bravely blocked, this time from Terry, as Cheslea clung on their slender advantage.
Blues substitute Andre Schurrle missed a good chance to seal Chelsea's place in Wednesday's final, before Torres suffered the ignominy of being substituted for Romelu Lukaku in the 87th minute - despite only coming on at half-time.
But the German was not to be denied as he scored injury time to book Mourinho's Miami grudge match.
