Gago returns to Boca Juniors

Boca Juniors have announced the signing of Fernando Gago from Valencia on a three-year contract.
The midfielder spent the latter half of the 2012-13 season on loan in his native Argentina with Velez Sarsfield, but has now ended six years in Spain by signing a permanent deal with his boyhood club.
And he has set his sights on helping the Buenos Aires outfit to challenge for titles following their disappointing performance in the 2013 Torneo Final.
"It's a nice feeling coming back to the club where I grew up as a person and now I want to enjoy this stage at Boca," he said.
"Boca always want to be (title) candidates, that's the goal. We have the obligation to fight for the title."
Gago first moved to Europe with Real Madrid, joining compatriot and then-River Plate forward Gonzalo Higuain in swapping the Argentine capital for the Santiago Bernabeu in January 2006.
He went on to make 121 appearances for the Spanish club, winning two Liga titles, but never truly nailed down a first-team berth under a string of different managers.
A switch to Valencia followed his mixed stay at Real but a loan to Velez was agreed in January after the 27-year-old failed to make a telling impact at the Mestalla.
Gago, who has 45 caps to his name for Argentina, helped Boca to two league titles in his first stint at the club.
